American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson has come a long way since her days on America’s most popular reality television singing competition. She has traded her pop-rock attitude for a soulful 14-track album with Atlantic Records Label.
Overall, it seems that her new album, “Meaning of Life,” is overproduced in parts, but it is still probably her best album to date. Her song “Love So Soft” is that perfect confident-woman-attitude classic, and “Cruel” is the new lip sync hit to be sung by an audience at a live concert.
Clarkson expresses her individuality in “Whole Lotta Woman,” which is an ode to confident Texan women. Her “I Don’t Think About You” is a ballad that was inspired by artist Mariah Carey, while “Didn’t I” brings out her confidence as a strong independent woman. Unlike any other of her songs, “Slow Dance” has a blend of a sensual country rhythm. This production is set to open new doors to Clarkson in her professional music career.
