Casey Donahew Band, led by former Texas A&M student/UT Arlington graduate Casey Donahew, has carved out a place in the Texas music scene as one of the largest names in their genre. Casey Donahew Band is well-known among a large audience, but to many fans they are irreplaceable. Songs about love, loss, home, and Texas fill their albums, and although the themes are classic to the Texas Country genre, fans feel a certain attachment to the way Casey Donahew Band captures the truth behind Texas Country music. Their most recent album release “All Night Party” dropped in August of last year and sold 11,000 copies in the first week. Casey Donahew Band has gained popularity in recent years while staying true to their roots.
The band has performed in College Station multiple times and they will be back to play at Hurricane Harry’s on January 27, accompanied by fellow country music artist Josh Ward. Ward, a Houston native, has had multiple #1 singles and brought home the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards Song of the Year in 2016 for “Whiskey & Whitley.” He will be a name to continue to pay attention to in the future and someone we can expect big things from in the Texas music scene.
Country music fans everywhere rave about the live performances they experience from these two artists. An engaging atmosphere helps bring the music to life and gets the audience on their feet to dance the night away. These powerhouse musicians are expected to make this a concert full of some the best music that Texas country has to offer. Texas Country fans that are not familiar with Casey Donahew Band or Josh Ward could compare the music to Cody Johnson, Kyle Park, Stoney LaRue, or William Clark Green.
Tickets for this event can be purchased online, at Cavender’s Boot City, or Aggieland Outfitters on University Dr. for $10 each. Hurricane Harry’s will open it’s doors at 9pm on January 27.
