One of Aggieland’s favorite breweries, New Republic Brewery is located in College Station off of Dowling Road, will host Brazos Valley talent Jeff Becker on March 10 and the Dave Martinez Band on March 11 in the Taproom.
Jeff Becker is a born and raised Bryan local residing in Austin. In 2016, Becker released his acoustic EP, “Somewhere Free” which features songs “Up, Up And Away” and “Strong Spirit.”
This Indie-Folk singer started writing songs in the Fall of 2013, and his journey has taken him farther than he ever would have thought.
Head over to the New Republic Brewery Taproom at 5pm when doors open for Happy Hour and $1 off pints before Becker hits the stage at 6pm.
Dave Martinez, born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, released got his solo start in late October 2011. After releasing his first album “Two Wolves,” Martinez is back in the studio recording his second album, “Panhandle Confessional,” which he hopes reaches new heights with his new direction of creativity. Start sipping on those local beers early when doors open at 2pm on Saturday before Martinez takes the stage at 6pm.
In addition to locally brewed beer and soulful folk talent, there will be tasty food from local food truck Blake’s Steaks on Friday and Napa Flats on Saturday. Pair your brew with some Texas red meat or a pizza and your evening can’t go wrong.
Whether you are a fan of their Complicated Blonde, Dammit Jim!, or Roggen Noggin, get there early and stay late to support these local artist at the New Republic Brewing Company in College Station on March 10 and March 11. Parking is free and doors are open to well behaved children, furry friends, family and strangers, so don’t miss out.
