We are in Texas, and, naturally, a lot of us love for country music, specifically Texas country. Well, you can feed your country needs with Pat Green at Hurricane Harry’s on Friday, September 29th.
The San Antonio native has big shoes to fill if he hopes to live up to his own success. With more than 2 million albums sold, Pat Green has had three Grammy nominations and has toured with huge stars like Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban. Although he had a record label sign him, the pressure of being too perfect was too much. Therefore, he became an independent artist.
Green recently released his hit album, “Home,” and the title says it all. It is a tribute to fans that have been with him since the start. Because of his hardship with the record label, Green wanted to go back to his comfort zone, which allowed him to express himself better than he ever thought he could.
Green’s new album consists of thirteen touching and loving songs. They are slow country numbers that justify the name of the album. The album itself tells the story of his crazy ride while being among the big names and how he feels so much better to be back “Home.”
Pat Green started to love music at a young age, and while at Texas Tech he started performing at bars and other kinds of venues. If he has not sounded impressive enough, while committed to his musical career, Green attracted the attention of Willie Nelson. That’s right, Shotgun Willie loved Green’s sound so much that Green first appeared at his 4th of July picnic. Shortly after, he started getting lots of national recognition.
Hurricane Harry’s is the place to be, to hear some of Pat Green’s soothing voice. Doors open at 9 p.m. For more information visit, and to purchase your tickets, visit http://harrys.bcsclubs.com/events/
