William Clark Green

Texas country star William Clark Green will be headlining Hurricane Harry’s end of the semester bash on Friday December 11 with Austin Meade opening. Green hails from Flint, Texas. He did however, spend some time in the BCS area growing up. William Clark Green is a 2004 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School.

Following his graduation from A&M Consolidated, Green headed to Texas Tech University. He released his first album, “Dangerous Man,” in 2008 while he was studying at Tech. Green has steadily released new albums every couple of years. In 2012, he released “Rose Queen.” The album peaked at number 34 on the Billboard Top Country Albums. “Rose Queen” had his first number 1 regional hit with “She Likes the Beatles.” The album yielded three Top 10 singles on the Texas country charts. In April of 2015, he released his latest album, “Ringling Road.” It debuted at number 18 on the Billboard Top Country Charts and the first single off the album went number 1 on the Texas country charts. Green has since enjoyed great success as a headliner and as an opener for other Texas country artists.

William Clark Green has been a frequent visitor of BCS. He opened for Wade Bowen in October this year and headlined a “dead-day” show at Harry’s back in May. His ability to relate and connect to crowds keeps fans in BCS area coming back to see him. Green’s incredible stage presence elevates him as one of Texas Country’s rising stars.

As 2015 is ending, Green is already looking to next year. He has many dates around Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Colorado already booked. He will be joining Cody Canada, Casey Donahew, Stoney LaRue, Eli Young Band, and many more on these dates.

Opening for William Clark Green is Austin Meade. Meade’s music and songwriting abilities have an incredible honesty. His songs connect with fans because they are highly-relatable. This has helped him build a loyal following. Meade began writing during his time at Texas A&M. His influences come from a range of Americana and Blues. His style is his own, bringing a youthful energy to his shows. Each of his songs push you to really dig deep and think inwardly.

In 2015, Meade was Texas Music Pickers featured Breakthrough Artist. Meade released his first EP “Long Ways To Go” in 2014 and quickly released his first album, “Chief Of Sinners,” later that year. Meade has shared the stage with a variety of Texas Country and Americana artists like Cody Canada, American Aquarium, Sam Riggs, Mike Ryan, The Damn Quails, and countless others. Meade wrapped his Lone Drifter Tour in July but has been steadily playing shows since.
