It’s coming up on the weekend, which means it’s time to sit back, relax, and have a drink while enjoying some entertainment! In Brenham, there’s no better place to do just that than 4 Star Concert Hall. Situated in a century-old renovated building in downtown, you can enjoy a professionally made drink from their sidebar and then head on up to the balcony to watch some great local music. This upcoming weekend, there are two exciting shows at 4 Star: Randy Pavlock and The Twenty Four Seven and the Jordan Nix Band.

First off, Texas legend Randy Pavlock will be playing with his band The Twenty Four Seven on Friday, August 9! Hailing from Navasota, “The Blues Capital of Texas,” Pavlock more than does his city proud. His roaring, self-taught blues guitar riffing and soloing draws obvious comparisons to fellow Texas legend Stevie Ray Vaughan. It’s a juxtaposition that’s obvious the moment you listen to “She’s Getting to My Head,” the opener from Pavlock’s most recent release, “Fly On/Live On.” The doors will open at 7:00 p.m., and the show will start an hour later. Next, the Jordan Nix Band will perform on Saturday, August 10. Nix and his band, The Day Drinkers, met when its original members all worked together at the same Guitar Center in College Station. They started playing shows together in 2017 and released their first album, “Happier than Normal,” last fall. Their eclectic mix of classic rock and roll, country, and several other genres — which they lovingly call ‘Rustic Rock’ — is Texan at its core and is sure to delight. Their show will begin at 10:00 p.m. For tickets and info, visit: http://bit.ly/2GKsrxZ
