The fabled strategy series Sid Meier’s Civilization, the first iteration of which was released as far back as 1991 on the PC, is legendary among nearly all gamers. While some games in the series have found their way onto consoles, and there was even a board game version released in 2010, Civilization has so far existed almost solely on PC.
That said, publisher Aspyr Media decided last year to release Civilization VI, the latest game in the series, on iOS. You can now lose yourself in one of the deepest strategy games ever made wherever you are. Riding the bus, relaxing during your lunch break, or killing time in between classes, you can indulge in the richly strategic and beautifully animated world of Sid Meier’s Civilization VI.
One thing to note: only the first 60 turns are free, but you can try any leader and any map. After that, the app costs $19.99 to continue, but by then, you’re sure to be completely hooked!
