Football season is right around the corner, so there’s no better time to do a little pre-game research for your game day tailgate. Parents, schedule a babysitter for Saturday, July 20 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. because you won’t want to miss the 5th annual Cheers to Craft Beer tasting event.

Cheers to Craft Beer is one of Downtown Bryan’s Sip and Shop events, which allows guests to sip their drinks and walk through their favorite stores. This year there are 22 merchants participating—the highest number of stores to participate in the event—perhaps because BCS loves a great Craft Beer!

Known for its community spirit,  Downtown Bryan constantly hosts events such as this one to enable BCS to make memories while supporting the small businesses that make the city so unique. This event is no different! Event Coordinator Hannah Hernandez says, “Cheers to Craft Beer is the perfect opportunity for people to go into stores that they wouldn’t normally go into.”

With its Texas-style warmth and Art Deco-inspired architecture, Downtown Bryan can lift your spirits, and that’s especially true when you know the people around you. So come down and shake hands with store owners as you sample some of these great Texas-brewed beers from the 14 participating breweries, some based right here in BCS. You’re sure to find something you’ve been missing, Hernandez says. “A beer lover can come to the event, try a brewery they’ve never had before and find their new favorite beer.”

After all, when will you have another opportunity to taste beers from all over the state in one day? And you don’t have to spend hours driving to sample the different breweries since Cheers to Craft Beer is just down the road!

Ticket holders will find it easy to navigate with the map provided, featuring all the participating merchants in Downtown Bryan. You’ll even be given a keepsake tasting glass to remember the fun! Check-in begins at the Palace Theater, and from there, you get to choose where to go next on your journey.

Tickets are $30 until July 19. You may be able to purchase tickets at the door for $35, as long as supplies last. Remember, this event is for guests age 21 and over!
