A talented teenager with a passion for music will soon take the stage at Aggieland’s oldest microbrewery.

Emily Little, Houston-area native and self-describe basic teen, will be preforming at the New Republic Brewing Company in College Station on Friday, Feb. 2, starting at 6 p.m.

Little performs on stage as COLE, a pop/alternative singer/songwriter who has always loved to sing. She is skilled in multiple instruments, including the guitar, ukulele and keys. Depending on the venue, COLE preforms solo, as a duo or with her band.

In 2012, COLE started playing showcases at Dosey Doe and Main Street Crossing. A year later, she would play solo during other the breaks of other musicians’ shows. Her first solo show came in August 2014, playing one- to four-hour gigs, ranging from festivals to charity events. In October of 2015, COLE released a self-titled debut album, “Emily Cole.”

COLE’s lively personality and fun spirit show through during her performances, whether performing solo or accompanied by another artist. Her voice is a perfect mix of smooth and strong, demanding attention but easy to listen to. She has incredible stage presence, with the ability command while sitting atop a stool.

COLE has a passion for charity performances, helping raise money for charities focused on ending childhood cancer. Her debut single “Stayed Strong” is about her cousin, who beat two battles with cancer by the age of 13. COLE directs all proceeds from the song to her cousin and his family, who then donates it to childhood cancer charities. The song, as well as COLE’s debut album, can be found on iTunes.

The venue, New Republic, opened in 2010 out of a love for sharing good beer with good people. The brewery is almost entirely operated by current and former students of Texas A&M University, creating a fun atmosphere for Aggies while still making other audiences feel right at home.

An incredible performer and a rocking venue. We highly suggest you head on out to New Republic and enjoy some great music and local brews. And in case you need an extra incentive, there is no cover, and parking is free.
