Hurricane Harry’s will once again host a incredible show as Kyle Park heads to town for a performance on Friday, October 5.
Park started his musical journey at the age of 14, when he began playing the guitar. He performed covers with members of George Strait’s band, Ace in the Hole, while in college, eventually forming his own group and leaving school. His debut album, “Big Time,” was released in 2005. He broke onto the US Country album charts with his third album, “The Spring EP,” peaking at 69, as well as reaching number 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers South Central list.
There’s a soothing tone to Park’s voice, which adapts perfectly to the beat of his songs. While his voice and all-around vibe are reminiscent of traditional country, there’s also an edge to him. Park’s lyrics are an extension of himself, representing both his passion and his life. He believes the lyrics are the most important aspect to the song, and it shows. Park understands how to bring all of the elements together to create crowd-pleasing music.
While Park is enough to draw in the crowds, it helps that he’s playing at one of the finest venues in College Station. Hurricane Harry’s is always a great place to listen to good music, hang out with friends and let loose. With great drink specials, billiards and two large dance floors, there’s something for everyone.
Park will take the stage at 10 p.m., but get there early and enjoy a night out. Doors open at 8 p.m., with a special guest performance by Jon Stork starting at 9. Tickets, starting at $10, can be purchased online or at Cavender’s Boot City.
