The perfect mix of Tex-Mex and Cal-Mex. A Baja blastin’ taco bar that College Station residents won’t be expecting. Everyone is welcome to come on out and enjoy the grand re-opening of La Bodega Express.

Their infamous 30 oz. martinis are back! Known for their bomb refreshing fruit martini shakers, and their out-of-this-world creative taco items, this restaurant has always been a pleasure to taste.

The traditional style for the tacos is to be served on piping hot flour tortillas, however, the restaurant is happy to accommodate to gluten free and other dietary preferences and offers corn tortillas as well. These dietary accommodating items are even asterisked on their menu. Creative minds are welcomed, as unique taco ideas are both encouraged and likely to be accommodated. The Dallis brothers, owners of both La Bodega and Café Eccel, wish to provide the community with options that rivals no other restaurant around.

This 24/7 drive-thru will be serving breakfast all day, to tackle your desires at any time. La Bodega started as a private party building and was located right across the street from the restaurant on Church Ave. Their parties, and the attention their fish and shrimp tacos drew, made it possible for the popular place to open up as its own fully functioning taco joint.

The menu will depict a multitude of sections, some titled “Old School Bodega,” in reference to any A&M Alum who will want their original favorites from 2014. However, the brothers have informed me that they have come up with some truly crazy taco combinations.

“Nothing like it in town,” Costa Dallis said of the new menu.

I was given the awesome opportunity to sit down with co-owners of both La Bodega and Café Eccel, brothers Costa and Andreas Dallis, last week.

This add on to Café Eccel will be open seven days a week. Starting off, this taco joint will only be operating from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. However, according to the Dallis brothers, once they all get a hang of handling the new business, the drive thru will open up to 24/7 accessibility. Skip those Whataburger munchies, and grab yourself a mouthwatering taco combo, paired with a world class dessert next time you’re craving something in the wee hours of the morning. Your taste buds could receive no better treatment.

“Bringing this back gets me excited again,” Dallis said. “This is a really exciting concept and I am excited to baptize the current A&M student body of the fun phenomenon that makes up Bodega Tacos and shakers.”

The La Bodega relaunch was November 1. This Mexican restaurant will have a nice vibe, in an even better atmosphere. This unique restaurant was inspired to be brought back by word of mouth, and, believe it or not, over 45,000 Facebook shares helped in resurfacing this concept!

Located on South Texas Ave, your taco temptations will be granted and fulfilled!
