Tim McGraw Damn Country Music – November 6
Country star Tim McGraw is back with “Damn Country Music.” The 14-track album kicks off with a great duet with his daughter Gracie McGraw called “Here Tonight.” This album is a great step forward for McGraw. The writing is authentic and the music behind the lyrics is reminiscent of the Tim McGraw we fell in love with in the 90s, a theme that is showcased well in the track “How I’ll Always Be.” The album flows very well. The title track “Damn Country Music,” is a thought-provoking ballad about the life of a country singer, and then McGraw cranks it up with songs like “Love Runs.” The rest of the album is full of tracks that are mid-tempo to ballad pace. The more relaxed vibe of “California,” a duet with Big & Rich, helps bring balance to the album. Overall, McGraw has done a great job with his new album.
