In Texas our seasons are known to be very unique and we are not talking about the weather. We celebrate the holidays and complain about the lack of winter then a whole new season creeps up on us. RODEO SEASON! This of course not only includes actual rodeo activities but the concert lineups that are released a little over a month prior.

This week the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo released their concert lineup full of some of the hottest artists set to preform, March 7th-26th at NRG. This is quite an eclectic list of performers. Discover some of the best songs you won’t hear on the radio that you can hear at the rodeo.

Aaron Watson, “Texas Lullaby”

Aaron, a Texas country favorite, has a new album set to be released next month. “Texas Lullaby” made its unofficial debut on his Facebook page when his daughter Jolee Kate requested it be preformed live from her bedroom. If it is Jolee Kate approved then we know that we should be looking forward to this single!

The Chainsmokers, “Inside Out” ft. Charlee

The Chainsmokers have been on a winning streak lately and we don’t see it coming to an end any time soon. We are guilty of overplaying “Roses” and “Closer,” but then we found “Inside Out.” This song is just as catchy with great vocals. Give it a listen.

Sam Hunt, “Saturday Night”

Sam Hunt took us by storm when “Montevallo,” his debut album, came out. Where did this guy come from?! It’s been awhile since it’s release, but since then an acoustic mix tape has been released as well as a new single. “Saturday Night,” is classic Sam Hunt with spoken word and a story of a girl he’s crushing on.

Fifth Harmony, “Big Bad Wolf”

Fifth Harmony has been in headlines a lot lately now that their group is has seen a big change. Their newest album 7/27 is full of hits, but Big Bad Wolf really stands out. It’s the perfect hype song so add to your going out playlist.

Chris Young, “Underdogs”

Chris Young released a Christmas album in 2016, but we are still not over the album before that, “I’m Comin’ Over.” You might recognize hits like “Think of You” with Cassadee Pope and “Sober Saturday Night” which featured Vince Gill. We recently found “Underdogs” and really hope this song makes the rodeo set list.
