Looking for some new ideas for date night? Look no more! The Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts at Texas A&M University is pairing with Third Rail Projects to present “New Immersive Piece”. This show will be available for two nights this weekend- Friday, February 3rd and Saturday, February 4th.
The Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts (AVPA) works closely with performing arts departments at Texas A&M University and supports hands- on experience and learning and strives to create situations for faculty and students that allow such. AVPA also serves at the facilitator between TAMU and other top-tier universities, as well as organizations that promote the arts.
Third Rail Projects strives to keep collaborations a top priority with their directors ranked among the 100 Most Influential People in Brooklyn Culture by “Brooklyn Magazine”. Through a multitude of mediums, Third Rail Projects is utilizing talent from many students throughout a few of TAMU’s departments. Performers in the shows are students from both, the Dance Program and Performance Studies and behind the scenes are the faculty and students from the Architecture Department who are responsible for the video projections and sound installations throughout the shows.
Downtown Bryan is a great place to start your date night, so keep AVPA and Third Rail Projects in mind while you’re strolling down Main Street. Both Friday and Saturday the first performances will begin at 7PM. Every fifteen minutes there will be new reservation slots, that will each hold up to twelve people – admission is free!
