The Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band is known as a distinguished collection of artists and performers, creating beauty through the form of musical sound. This spirited bunch honors Aggie tradition and shares school spirit through the most universal language of all, music!
On March 3, the Texas Aggie Band Association will hold a meeting and breakfast function at BJ’s. It is a little more of an intimate experience for past Band members to meet and greet one another, while all working together to plan a larger reunion happening later on in this coming year.
The 2018 TABA Membership Meeting over the Aggie Band Reunion will be held this upcoming Sat. March 3 at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse.
The morning’s schedule of events and activities has already been planned out. The schedule will go as follows: breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. when the restaurant door open for the retired band members.
BJ’s is generously providing a splendid breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, good ol’ bacon, scrumptious oatmeal, toast, assorted fruits and of course, fresh piping hot coffee.
For those of you who are ready to rumble bright and early in the morning a cash bar will be provided. Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s and any other weekend luxury your heart desires to get your weekend started off with a band.
After breakfast at 8 a.m. the meeting will actually begin and plans over the Aggie Bands 125th Reunion will start being discussed and put in the works.
BJ’s will be hosting this event completely free of charge, thanks to the hospitality of the restaurant and Jerry Deitchle ‘73. However, because the staff is volunteering their time early in the morning, we want to be sure to thank them for their gratuity. It’s always good to give back to the community when possible, pay the kindness forward. This event is free for former band members, but registration is required for attendance.
For any extra questions about this event and getting involved with the group in general feel free to email taba@tabaonline.com. As well you can learn more about the event on corpsofcadets.org.
Also, a list of registered attendees is also provided on the site so that you can make sure to connect with your old band besties.
