Album: You Take Me Back

Release Date: September 09, 2016

You might remember him as local band Votary’s frontman, but Jack Thweatt has broken out into a solo career in the singer-songwriter department with his first full-length album. “You Take Me Back” is a soulful album with a bluesy feel, each song echoing with his distinct clear voice.

Thweatt’s sound is similar to other popular singer-songwriters like Matt Wertz and Ben Rector, emulating their light sounds and meaningful lyrics, but also very much taking on a voice of his own. This would be the ideal album to snuggle up and read a book to or cruise to with the windows down. The easy feel of the album makes it worth listening to and is guaranteed to put you in a good mood. With only seven songs, it’s a quick but enjoyable listen that will make you long for easier days or match any optimistic mood.
