Austin Meade brings his singer-songwriter talents to Lakeside Icehouse on Friday, October 23. Meade’s music and songwriting abilities have an incredible honesty, making his music highly relatable to his fans and helping him build a loyal following. Meade began writing during his time as a student at Texas A&M. His influences range from Americana to the Blues, but he holds a style of his own and brings a youthful energy to his shows. His tracks are captivating and have an inept way of holding the listener’s ear.
In 2015, Meade was Texas Music Pickers’ featured Breakthrough Artist. Meade released his first EP “Long Ways To Go” in 2014 and quickly released his first full-length album, “Chief Of Sinners,” later that same year. Meade has shared the stage with a variety of Texas Country and Americana artists like Cody Canada, American Aquarium, Sam Riggs, Mike Ryan, The Damn Quails, and countless others. Meade wrapped his Lone Drifter Tour in July but has been steadily playing shows since.
On Friday, October 24 the Jonathan Fox Band will be making an appearance at the Icehouse. Fox wrote and produced his entire album “20 Something Runaway” that was released in November 2014. His style also spans from Blues to Americana, and tends to venture on the side of singer-songwriter. He delivered his album in a heartfelt, though-provoking manner. Fox was able to bring out topics like love, facing reality, individuality, and expectations. His ability to write about the hardships and triumphs gives him an edge over other artists.
