Across from the A&M Campus on Texas Ave., there is a small, run-down looking building that consistently has lines out the door. This cultural phenomenon is Layne’s. Their famous chicken finger plate comes with five perfectly fried chicken tenders on a bed of crisp golden french fries. Though often quickly consumed, these five tenders of bird heaven should be savored slowly for full finger-licking effect.
