Across from the A&M Campus on Texas Ave., there’s a small, run-down looking building that consistently has lines out the door. This cultural phenomenon is Layne’s. Established over twenty years ago in 1994, their famous chicken finger plate comes with five perfectly fried chicken tenders on a bed of crisp golden french fries. Though often quickly consumed, these five tenders of bird heaven should be savored slowly for full finger-licking effect.
