You don’t have to look far for frightful Halloween fun. Whether you are looking for family fun or a night out on the town, Aggieland has it going on this Halloween season. Check out these local events to get you in the Halloween spirit.
Zombie Crawl – Thursday, October 22 at 8:00 – 11:00 pm
Show up in your best zombie costume prepared to take over Northgate. The night will begin at The Backyard and crawl, walk, or creep to participating Northgate bars. As you venture around, you will have your zombie card stamped. At the end of the night, head back over to The Backward for drink specials, costume contests and cash prizes. Participating locations include: Basil Whippet’s, Social Lounge, The West End Elixir Company, Rough Draught, Boulevard 217, Cedar Lane Patio Arbor, Foundation Lounge, Gatsby’s, The Corner Bar, Logie’s on Campus, O’Bannon’s Taphouse, Dry Bean Saloon Shot Bar, the Dixie Chicken and Chimy’s.
Messina Hoff: Spooky Cellar Tours –

Take in the tales and lore of the area as you sip on a glass of Sparkling Ghost Wine or Reflections of Blood. This Halloween-themed cellar tour is sure to be a great pick for a spooky date night. Walk around the estate and learn the history of the vineyard, and afterward you can try four different varieties directly from the tanks and Barrels in the Spooky Cellar Room. Trick or Treat at “Werewolf Creek” – Friday, October 30 at 5:00pm – 9:00pm
Head over to the Wolf Pen Creek Park for some family fun and get into the Halloween spirit with trick-or-treating, a scarecrow contest, hay maze and rides, carnival games, joy jumps and more. Food vendors will be onsite and guests may bring their own refreshments, though alcohol and glass containers will not be allowed. Admission is FREE, but furry friends will need to be left at home.
Messina Hoff: Murder at Twilight – Saturday, October 31 at 7:00pm
Trick-or-treating is for kids, solving murders on the other hand? Join Messina Hoff for their well-known Murder Mystery Dinner on Halloween night.
In the last three weeks, vampires around the world have been murdered at an alarming rate by a fellow vampire of unknown identity. The leader of the International Vampire Coven has called an emergency meeting at Messina Hof Winery and Resort.
Before the date of the dinner, you will receive a character assignment to help you decide on a costume. Once there, your host will set the stage and guide you through the story as you dine on a three-course meal each expertly paired with one of Messina Hoff’s award-winning wines. In between courses, interact with other characters and collect clues to catch the murderer, or if you are the murderer, then duck from suspicion.
