Country music artist Steve Moakler carved his own path and built his career through consistency, hard work and miles on the road. The past ten years have proven that Moakler is here to stay. As he worked to make a name for himself in Nashville, Moakler released three studio albums that each made their way onto country music charts. His next album has been announced and is scheduled to release later this year, but two tracks are already available in on music streaming services.
Moakler’s most recent release, “Breaking New Ground,” became available this March and is the second single, after the title track, from his next album “Born Ready.” His previous album “Steel Town” was inspired by Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Moakler is originally from western Pennsylvania, and his love for the state is what led to the honoring of his home in the best way possible.
Moakler is still considered an up and coming artist in Nashville, but he definitely deserves the same recognition of other Nashville country artists. Although this will be his first time in College Station, he is bound to bring down the house just like he does in the Country Music Capital of the World.
The show opener, Corey Kent White, stands out by taking traditional country music and adding contemporary pop influences in terms of melodies and production styles. White began singing at the age of three, playing the guitar at the age of eight and performing at the age of eleven. After the release of his first album in 2014, White was selected for season eight of The Voice in 2015. He performed as part of Blake Shelton’s team and made it into the top ten on that season. This 23 year old performer is too unique and wildly talented to miss out on.
