“Lights, camera, action!” Imagine feeling the bass hit, seeing the lights flash, and hearing the roar of a rumbling crowd. Then, beautiful long legged women and handsome men strut fiercest walk down a runway. All of you fashion lovers can see all of this at The Fashion Event on March 22, 23 and 24.

For three consecutive days, the cities of Bryan and College Station come together for their shared love of fashion and community, for this exciting Central Texas event. Under the guidance of President Chance Okonski, The Fashion Event has helped raise thousands of dollars for non-profit organizations in the Brazos Valley since 2016. Pursuing a mission “to create a runway of hope that will support others within the community and lead to a better tomorrow,” they don’t have any plans to stop.

The Fashion Event isn’t just an event to see amazing models and cool fashions. The event has partnered with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas this year to help families in need. Both parties are committed to creating, finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and families. In 2016, The Fashion Event supported Fun For All Playground, raising $50,000 for the charity. In 2017 they went even further by raising $60,000 for the Mercy Project.

Each of the three nights will feature many talented designers and boutiques. Audiences can expect to see pieces from designers including Black Kaviar, Qristyl Frazier, Jamel Hawk and more. The featured boutiques include Sabi Boutique, Coterie Boutique, Kie Men’s Shoppe and more. Additionally, two of the nights will feature DJ Rob and DJ Internet Famous as musical guests.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for all three nights. Visit their website, www.thefashioneventbcs.com for more information on how to become a sponsor, volunteer, model or donate. This is an event that you don’t want to miss.
