Hurricane Harry’s is riling up a storm with a slew of musicians coming to town for their Acoustic Summer Series! Part One starts on June 5 and continues through June 26, featuring a different artist every Wednesday.

The series kicks off with Cleto Cordero of the band Flatland Cavalry and singer Kaitlin Butts taking center stage. Cordero has frequently played in College Station over the past few years as the lead singer of Flatland Cavalry. Being from Midland, Texas, Cordero was passionate about music throughout his life, but once he discovered Texas Music in high school, he took the plunge and pursued songwriting.

Alongside Cordero on June 5 will be his fiancée, Kaitlin Butts. An Oklahoma native, Butts quickly brought her music to Texas, where her songwriting further blossomed.

Butts has been known to weave tales of captivating, heart-wrenching emotion through her music. She released her debut album in 2015 and is featured in a song of Flatland Cavalry’s 2016 album, “Humble Folks.” With her latest single, “White River,” Butts presents another gripping story of vengeance.

The following week will feature Southern Rockers Koe Wetzel and Read Southall on Wednesday, June 12. Based in Stephenville, Texas, Koe Wetzel is an east Texas native and has released three studio albums with his band.

The singer will be paired with another Oklahoma native, Read Southall of The Read Southall Band. Southall’s 2015 solo acoustic album garnering eight million streams, so the lack of the band behind him won’t be too much of hardship.

Wetzel’s sound has been described as a mix of country and rock, and with Southall’s brand of Southern rock and roll flare, this show is bound to pump up the crowd.

Doors open at 9 pm both nights. Tickets can be purchased at Cavender’s Boot City or visit https://bit.ly/2HPJP5A
