Do you have a graduation to commemorate? Want to celebrate Memorial Day weekend? In the mood for a night on the town? Downtown Bryan’s Margarita Mayhem is just the ticket! Throughout the month of May, participating restaurants and bars will feature special entrees and drinks with their own take on that very best of Mexican inventions, the margarita. Featured at various locations, these concoctions are perfect for hitting the spot on a warm day without breaking the bank.
While they’re not serving margaritas in the morning, you can start the day at either Kolache Capital Bakery with a Key Lime Kolache that combines Key Lime and cheesecake or 3rd on Main with breakfast tacos filled with pulled pork, bacon, italian sausage, and potato.
What sounds better for lunch today? Cilantro’s mango-based margarita paired with mixed chicken and beef fajitas, or Rx Pizza’s Strawberry-Mango Rita with Margherita Pizza? Or perhaps The Village’s Cayman Jack Margarita with Pollo Verde Pizza sounds more like your style. In the mood for just a bite? The Proudest Monkey offers a Mango Margarita and individual tacos.
To kick off your evening, drop by Papa Perez’s for their Slenderita made with Milagro Tequila and paired with an avocado stuffed with fajita goodness and then fried. After dinner, you can meander on down to The Downtown Elixir and Spirits Company for their Key Lime Combo – yes, that combo includes Key Lime Pie and a Key Lime margarita!
Since it’s continuing all month, you’ve got plenty of time to sample them all! Margarita prices range from $5 for Taco Crave BCS’s Crave Margarita to $13 for a Raspberry Dream Margarita at Downtown Uncorked. Not to be overlooked is their Frozen Habanero & Lime Margarita that starts with a freeze and finishes with wave of heat.
Casa Rodriguez boasts the largest, with their 32oz Big Red Margarita, and All the King’s Men Whiskey Margarita on the rocks is sure to appeal to those who aren’t that fond of tequila. Not that we know anyone like that.
You’ve got until the end of the month to try them all! Why not make it a daily adventure? Just be sure to get there before May 31 before the mayhem ends. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait another year!
