With a vision to unite others and a passion for giving back to the community, a handful of Brazos Valley residents formed together to work towards creating an experience like Bryan/College Station had never witnessed before. A three-day event, that would not only highlight their passions for fashion, but would give back to the community in the most stylish way possible. Those three days spent under the picturesque white tent, amongst the glistening lights of the runway, would be the beginning of a new era. An era better known now as The Fashion Event BCS.

This new chapter, beginning on March 30th in Historic Downtown Bryan, will feature some the industry’s leading Fashion Designers alongside some of the Brazos Valley’s premier local retailers. By the efforts of many, and with the support of this community, The Fashion Event we able to donate one hundred percent of all proceeds raised, to local non-profit, Mercy Project. Through your contributions and support of this event, we are one step closer to ending the battle on child slavery.

This three-day event is guaranteed to bring something new and exciting to the town of Bryan/College Station, by offering an experience that is not only fun, but one that is also engaging. On behalf of our all gracious sponsors and the entire 2017 Fashion Event Committee, we would like to thank you in advance for your continual support and selfless contribution to this event. It is because of individuals like you, that make giving back one trend that will never go out of style.

Designers and retailers will be displaying stunning looks from different collections during the three-day Fashion Week event in Historic Downtown Bryan on March 30th through April 1st. The three-day affair will feature looks from world renowned designers alongside some of the Brazos Valley’s own local retailers! Based on what we have been seeing all over social media, this looks like an event that nobody wants to miss out on.
Thursday night’s show kicks off with Chloe Dao, the featured Project Runway designer known for her evening and sportswear, which will also include displays of effortless sophistication that show true understanding to the female body. Changing directions from there, Parisian brand, Black Kaviar, will take the catwalk, showcasing his futuristic looks that are inspired from all over the world. Local boutiques Tres Chic, Southern Jewlz, and Charli will also be joining them on the runway for The Fashion Events first big night!

Friday nights lineup is looking rather promising with the show’s headliner Charles Smith, showcasing pieces from his line Smith II (Smith the Second). This Dallas native has really put himself on the fashion map this past year with what he is describes is a true passion for taking high-end fashion and making into wearable looks. The locals retailers joining Smith II Friday night are newcomers Dusty Diamonds Boutique, Witt’s End, Texas Rose Boutique, and B Unique Boutique!

Last but not least, Saturday night ends the shows with all inclusive VIP Night featuring designer Onyii & Co. alongside children’s designer Debbie Porter for Fabulous Phebe. Onyii & Co. is a luxury lifestyle brand known for their bright colors, prints, and bohemian styles. The collection is centred around world travel and has been quoted as having “the gift of travel in every garment.” Debbie Porter, a children’s book author turned fashion designer is the mind behind Fabulous Phebe, a children’s fashion line designed to last through the wear and tear of daily activity that normally cause children’s clothes to deteriorate. The plaid prints and black and white stripes in this collection are versatile and can be worn through different seasons, giving parents a piece of mind when purchasing children’s clothes. From there, local retailers such as Sabi, J&L and Anything Bling Boutiques will be gracing the stage also. Followed by two very familiar male faces within the community, College Station’s own David Gardner Jewelers and Maroon Weekly Co-Owner, Chance Okonski’s store KIE Men’s Shoppe!

This year’s Fashion Event is expected to be a breathtaking display of high-end designers and Brazos Valley’s own premier local retailers. Including hair and makeup gurus Chrome, Laina Salon, Duo Salon, Catwalk and VIXEN. From the gorgeous displays of hair and makeup, to the larger than life tent in Historic Downtown Bryan, this is definitely one event that will have people talking for a while!
