Indie Rock is a music scene that has a lively presence in Downtown Bryan that has local music-lovers buzzing. On October 20, indie rock band Duncan Fellows from Austin will be back in College Station performing at the Grand Stafford Theater.

Duncan Fellows is a fairly new band with their first release being in 2013 and their most recent single being released this year. The band is made up of five southern men who all have a mutual love for making music. Colin Harman, Cullen Trevino, Jack Malonis, David Stimson, and Tim Hagen came together and were founded under an independent record label in November 2012. Since then, they have had top selling EP’s and sold-out shows. Duncan Fellows often compares their sound to Ben Howard and early Kings of Leon. Their music ranges from mellow and relaxing to driving and jolting. Their most recent single “Coffins” is a soothing yet upbeat track that mixes in beautiful lyrics with unique instrumentals.

Duncan Fellows is currently working on their first full-length record that is said to begin its release this year. Those who have seen this band perform rave about, not only their music, but also their enjoyable stage presence. They are fun and playful on stage, which captures their audience in a way that leaves them wanting more. Joining Duncan Fellows will be Thomas Csorba, a singer/ songwriter from Houston. Csorba is an artist similar to the sound of Duncan Fellow, but he incorporates a folk music sound into his songs.
